2nd

Keyword Research

This is the part where I determine the right target keywords for your website and forecast how many visitors we can have if we are able to rank top in the search engines for them.

3rd

Competitive Analysis

This is the part where I check who are your competitors and what they are doing in terms of SEO and where we can get leverage and compete with them.

4th

Onpage SEO

This is the part where I do SEO on your website. This touches metadata, content, images, video, optimization.

5th

Offpage SEO

This is the part where I strengthen your website authority through backlinks and mentions from important and related websites.

6th

Reporting and Data Analysis

This is the part where we can all make sense of what we are doing and analyze progress based on real quantitative data generated by tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, among others.

After analyzing and we see there are more things we can do, we can go back to step 1 and do the cycle again to keep improving the rankings.

February 13, 2025Some of our client websites are now appearing in ChatGPT search results, which is a significant milestone. This is exactly the kind of traffic we want to target—our websites being featured in ChatGPT’s responses means that AI considers them credible and valuable resources. This can drive organic traffic from users who rely on AI tools for information instead of traditional search engines. For example, one of our SEO clients has already started receiving traffic from ChatGPT and even from Perplexity.ai in the past 30 days. While the numbers may still be small, this trend indicates the growing influence of AI-driven search. See belowAs SEO professionals, we should not only focus on optimizing for Google but also adapt our strategies for AI search engines. This includes creating high-quality, authoritative content, structuring data properly, and ensuring our websites are AI-friendly. By doing so, we can stay ahead of the competition and capture traffic from emerging search technologies. [...] Read more...
February 8, 2025I’ve recently noticed that some reviews have disappeared from the Google Business Profiles (GBPs) of our SEO clients within the last 24 hours. This issue isn’t isolated, as I’ve observed it affecting multiple properties across different accounts. After checking various SEO forums and communities, it seems that many other professionals are reporting the same problem, indicating that this could be a widespread issue. While it’s still too early to determine the exact cause—whether it’s a system glitch, an algorithm update, or part of Google’s routine review filtering process—we are closely monitoring the situation to identify any patterns or updates.Have you experienced something similar on your end? I’d appreciate any insights you might have. [...] Read more...
February 3, 2025If your website’s HTTP version does not automatically redirect to HTTPS, it can cause serious SEO and security issues.1. SEO IssuesDuplicate Pages – Search engines might index both HTTP and HTTPS versions, leading to duplicate content problems. Ranking Impact – Google considers HTTPS a ranking factor, meaning sites with proper HTTPS implementation may rank higher. Crawl Budget Wastage – If both versions exist, search engines may waste resources crawling duplicate pages instead of focusing on important content.2. Security RisksUser Trust Issues – Modern browsers label HTTP sites as “Not Secure”, which can reduce visitor confidence. Data Vulnerability – Without HTTPS, sensitive user data (like passwords and payment details) can be intercepted by hackers. How to Check If Your HTTP URL Redirects to HTTPSTo verify if your HTTP version is properly redirecting to HTTPS, use this free online tool:🔗 HTTP Status Code CheckerIf both HTTP and HTTPS versions return a 200 status code, it means both versions are accessible to search engines, which can create duplicate content issues.Example of Improper RedirectionWe recently worked on an SEO client’s website where the HTTP version was not properly redirected to HTTPS. See the screenshot below.Example of Proper HTTP to HTTPS RedirectionFor reference, here’s a screenshot of the correct HTTP to HTTPS redirect setup for PinoySEO.ph—showing a 301 redirect in place.A 301 redirect ensures that all traffic from HTTP is permanently redirected to HTTPS, preventing duplicate content issues and improving security.WordPress Plugins for HTTP to HTTPS RedirectionIf your website is built on WordPress, you can use one of these plugins to automatically redirect HTTP to HTTPS:1️⃣ Really Simple SSL – https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/2️⃣ WP Force SSL – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-force-ssl/3️⃣ Easy HTTPS Redirection – https://wordpress.org/plugins/https-redirection/These plugins handle HTTPS redirection without requiring manual server or .htaccess modifications. Why HTTP to HTTPS Redirection MattersFixing the HTTP to HTTPS redirect is a crucial part of technical SEO. Ideally, this should already be handled at the web design stage to prevent SEO and security issues in the future. [...] Read more...
January 22, 2025As SEOs, we should not limit ourselves to Google when optimizing our websites. It’s important to remember that there are other search engines that can also drive organic traffic to our sites. Platforms like Bing, DuckDuckGo, and Yahoo are great examples of alternative search engines where we can attract additional traffic. For instance, we are managing a blog that targets worldwide traffic. Over the last 30 days, we’ve seen remarkable results from various sources. Below is a screenshot showing the traffic we’ve acquired during this period. As you can see below, we have traffic from several search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and also traffic coming from different countries like UK, Philippines, and Canada. This level of traffic is highly valuable for a site. The optimization techniques we apply to other search engines are based on the same principles we use for Google. Therefore, it’s crucial not to overlook these platforms, as they can significantly contribute to the growth and success of our websites.Common SEO Strategies to Optimize Across Multiple Search Engines:Keyword Research and Optimization: Identify relevant keywords and integrate them naturally into your content, meta descriptions, and headings. High-Quality Content Creation: Produce valuable, engaging, and unique content tailored to your audience’s needs. On-Page SEO: Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and image alt text for better search engine readability. Mobile Optimization: Ensure your website is mobile-friendly and responsive across all devices. Site Speed Optimization: Improve page loading times by compressing images, enabling caching, and using a fast hosting provider. Backlink Building: Acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable and relevant websites to improve domain authority. Local SEO: Optimize for local searches by claiming your business listings and including location-specific keywords. Technical SEO: Fix crawl errors, improve site structure, and ensure your site is indexable by search engines. Social Media Integration: Promote your content through social platforms to boost visibility and drive additional traffic.By expanding our reach to alternative search engines, we diversify our audience and minimize reliance on a single source. This strategy not only increases our visibility but also strengthens our resilience to changes in search engine algorithms. Always keep in mind that a multi-platform approach is key to long-term success in SEO. [...] Read more...
January 17, 2025At a recent virtual event attended by nearly 400 participants, Ms. Katherine Padilla, founder of Katvantage Outsourcing and co-founder of SOVA-Cebu, captivated the audience with her journey from corporate life to becoming a successful entrepreneur and freelancing coach. The event, hosted by renowned wealth coach and motivational speaker Chinkee Tan, provided a platform for Ms. Katherine to share valuable insights into her experiences and the potential of freelancing for Filipinos. The Leap from Corporate to EntrepreneurshipBefore venturing into freelancing and entrepreneurship, Katherine worked as a sales and marketing manager at Waterfront Hotel. In 2014, she and her husband, Rene Leandro Padilla, made the bold decision to leave their corporate jobs and start an e-commerce makeup store. The risk paid off almost immediately. Within six months, their online store was featured in Forbes, bringing their business into the spotlight. From there, they explored various ventures, including delivery services, and eventually established both a physical cake shop and SOVA (School of Virtual Assistance), which aims to equip aspiring freelancers with the skills needed to succeed in today’s digital world.SOVA, co-founded by Katherine and Leandro, is unique in that it offers specialized training under the guidance of industry experts. Ms. Katherine serves as the main coach for the General Virtual Assistant Training Course, while her husband, Coach Leandro Padilla—also the founder of PinoySEO.ph—leads the SEO and WordPress training courses.Katherine shared that freelancing and coaching are “evergreen industries,” offering endless opportunities for those willing to invest in learning and innovation.Starting Small, Dreaming BigOne of the most striking aspects of Ms. Katherine’s story is how she started her first business with minimal capital. Using her husband’s expertise as a web designer and SEO coach, they built a website for their e-commerce store. Ms. Katherine embraced dropshipping, a business model that required no warehouse, branding, or inventory. Her resourcefulness and strategic approach underscore a powerful lesson: starting small doesn’t limit success. With determination and the right skills, even low-capital ventures can yield significant returns.Freelancing: A Low-Capital Path to SuccessKatherine emphasized freelancing as a viable option for those looking to earn without needing substantial investment. However, she stressed that tools and resources alone aren’t enough. She often tells her students that success requires diskarte (resourcefulness), a growth mindset, and the courage to take action.“Freelancing isn’t easy,” Katherine shared, “but the hard work you put in today will pay off tomorrow. It’s all about planting the right seeds and nurturing them.”She also highlighted the importance of leveraging technology, such as AI tools, to enhance productivity. Still, she noted that the human elements of grit, resilience, and continuous learning remain indispensable. To give you an even closer look at Katherine’s inspiring journey, watch the video below where she shares her story and insights with renowned wealth coach Chinkee Tan. A Humbling Moment with Chinkee TanReflecting on her opportunity to speak during the event, Ms. Katherine described it as one of the best moments of her life.“I’ve been following Sir Chinkee Tan for a while now, and I even have his books. So imagine my surprise when he called out my name! It was such an honor to share my freelancing journey with my husband, Rene Leandro Padilla, and to inspire others.”Her heartfelt gratitude extended to her family, mentors, and students, who have been integral to her success.Lessons from Ms. Katherine’s JourneyMs. Katherine’s story is not only inspiring but also packed with practical takeaways for aspiring freelancers and entrepreneurs in the Philippines:Start Small: Even with minimal capital, you can build something impactful with creativity and resourcefulness. Invest in Growth: Continuous learning and skill development are key to staying competitive.
